Job summary

malomatia is seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in AIX and Linux with Storage and Cloud System Administration to ensure secure, efficient, and reliable operation of the client’s IT infrastructure in Qatar.

The role involves maintaining IBM AIX/Linux environments, managing SAN and VIO/PowerVM, and supporting Azure cloud deployments. Strong customization, security controls, and incident resolution are essential for uninterrupted services.

Qualifications

• 12 years in Unix system administration
• Hands on experience with AIX and Red Hat Linux
• Experience with SAN, storage and IBM Power virtualization

Responsibilities

• Maintain IBM AIX/Linux infrastructure and patching
• Manage VIO, Hardware Management Console and PowerVM configurations
• Support on-call rotation and incident resolution
• Monitor and troubleshoot SAN/storage performance and reliability
