Job summary

Grant Thornton Abdulaal Bahrain is seeking a Senior Accountant in Doha, Qatar. The role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements and management reports, ensuring accurate accounting records, and supporting external audits.

IFRS compliance and SAP FI ERP experience are preferred. The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Accounting, with 5+ years of GCC experience, and strong Excel, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification preferred, or currently pursuing ACCA/CPA/CA/CMA.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the GCC.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP FI.
• Strong MS Excel proficiency.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely accounting records and financial reporting.
• Support and coordinate external audits, including providing schedules and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS requirements.
• Work with ERP systems, preferably SAP FI, for accounting and financial transactions.
• Perform financial analysis and support management reporting requirements.
• Handle day-to-day accounting activities and ensure data accuracy.
• Support the finance team in meeting reporting deadlines and maintaining internal controls.
