Job summary

Grant Thornton - Bahrain in Doha, Qatar, seeks a Senior Accountant to lead financial reporting, audits, and IFRS compliance. The role involves extensive use of SAP FI and ERP systems, with a focus on accurate records and timely statements.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting and a relevant professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/CA/CMA) or is pursuing one, with at least 5 years of GCC experience and strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification preferred, or currently pursuing one (ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA, etc.).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the GCC.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely accounting records and financial reporting.
• Support and coordinate external audits, including providing required schedules and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS requirements.
• Work with ERP systems, preferably SAP FI, for accounting and financial transactions.
• Perform financial analysis and support management reporting requirements.
• Handle day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Support the finance team in meeting reporting deadlines and maintaining strong internal controls.
