Job summary

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, preparing parts with grinders, setting up welding components, and performing MIG/TIG/Stick welds in various positions. The role may require long hours outdoors and standing.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
• Knowledge of MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail.

• The ability to work long hours in a standing position.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints or technical diagrams
• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Verify the compatibility of metals to be joined
• Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws)
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
