CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
- Location: Al Shaheen Offshore Field – G-site
- Department: Field Operations – Offshore Area
- Report to: Offshore Installation Manager (G SITE)
- Direct Subordinates: Multi Technicians, Crane Operator, Trainee
- Work schedule: rotational scheme (28 days ON/ 28 days OFF). Both day and night shifts are part of offshore rotation. 12h per day extendable on request.
ROLE AND ACTIVITIES
Crew management:
- Lead a team of up to 7 people (technician and crane operator) to ensure the day-today activities
- Motivate and inspire staff in the execution of their responsibilities to drive a performance culture
- Encourage innovative thinking around process safety and production optimization
- On occasion: lead, assist and support non-permanent people present on the platform (well service, campaign, inspection team, others).
Operation Planning and Execution:
- Conscientiously plan all due activities within the assigned area (SAP, materials, tools, PTW, ect…) to ensure their efficient execution
- Facilitate and supervise safe execution of planned activities and ensure a proper close-out
Permit to Work management:
- Prepare Permit to Work packs to ensure all hazards are identified, risks are mitigated and to prevent co activity conflict
- Act as the Permit Controller to ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the Permit to Work process and company requirements
Monitoring and optimization:
- Monitor and control production, injection, and utility systems to optimize production performance
- Provide feedback on production performance and safety issues, and propose initiatives to improve daily operations
Safety and Risk Management:
- Accountable for the development and review of risk assessments, ensuring hazards are identified, mitigations are adequate, and risks are minimized
- Actively participate in and promote an incident-free culture, adhering to company health and safety campaigns, policies, and procedures
- Manage the Offshore Satellite Emergency Response Team and make sure site safety is always considered
- Perform internal audits of risk management systems to drive compliance and continuous improvements.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor of Science in any Engineering field or equivalent
Hydrocarbon and process safety experience is a must, instrument and electrical background to a certain level is required
Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in O&G production operations, as supervisor Certifications:
- T-BOSIET / H2S Fitness to Work Certificate
- Basic and Advanced Firefighting
- Management of Major Emergencies
- Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader
- Advanced First Aid
Company specific certification (as a minimum):
- Incident free supervisor certification
- Health & Industrial Hygiene
- Industry Golden rules
- Basic Cause Tree Analysis
- Oil Spill Principles and Management Level 1
- Electrical Habilitation Level 2
- Gas and NORM test training
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Technical knowledge:
- Proficient in process, water treatment, gas treatment, gas lift, production equipment’ functionality and well
- Understand operational safety and ability to identify potential hazard (SimOps, pressure, lifting, ect…)
- Thorough understanding and use of P&ID and C&E drawings, and isolation principles
- Basic understanding of instrumentation and control equipment principles, including fault diagnosis,
- Knowledgeable in industry process safety guidelines and procedures
Language skills:
- Fluent in written and spoken English (mandatory)
