Job summary

Al-Futtaim Retail in Doha is seeking a friendly Sales Assistant to support store operations, greet customers, and maintain a welcoming, organized environment. You will work under Store Management to uphold standards, assist with housekeeping, and help guests find products.

Qualifications

Overview Of The Role

• The Sales Assistant is key in facilitating positive customer experiences and driving sales within the store. Serving under the guidance of Store Management, this role is fundamental in creating a welcoming and organized retail environment. Success is measured by the ability to maintain store standards, actively engage customers, and support operational tasks such as housekeeping and fitting room service. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, service-oriented, and capable of operating efficiently independently and as part of a team.

What You Will Do

Store Maintenance

• Create a sparkling clean and organized environment by maintaining store standards and cleanliness.

Customer Interaction

• Create a positive first impression for the customer through an energetic attitude and adhering to the dress code.
• Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and sincere non-business-like greeting.
• Sincerely thank all customers for shopping as they exit the store and invite them back.

Product Knowledge and Sales

• Provide customers with current relevant information about the product.
• Provide quality service in the fitting rooms and attempt to add on to the sale.

Cashier Duties

• Provide efficient service at the cash wrap, offer gift cards, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and capture customer information in the database.

Required Skills To Be Successful

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Skill in customer service and engagement.
• Basic proficiency in handling cash transactions and gift card offerings.

What Qualifies You For The Role

• High School Degree required.
• 1-2 years of retail sales experience necessary.
• Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours, with some heavy lifting involved.
• Proficiency in verbal communication skills.
