Job summary

Qatar Airways invites applications for a Safety Assurance Engineer Level 1 based in Doha. You will contribute to safety management, investigations, and compliance across CAMO and MRO activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory and industry standards.

The role requires a tertiary qualification in aircraft maintenance engineering or related aviation safety field, plus several years of relevant experience and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification with a minimum of 4 years of job-related experience within aviation safety or a related field
• Tertiary Degree or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
• Experience in Safety, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and/or Continued Airworthiness environment
• Experience in aircraft technical investigations and human factor investigations within CAMO/MRO
• Experience in Safety Management section of CAMO and MRO
• Experience in Occupational Health and Safety will be considered as an additional skill
• Good understanding of Safety Risk Management Tools and Techniques
• Experience in Risk Assessments/Management of Changes
• Detailed knowledge of air legislation, ICAO, EASA & FAA regulations
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with analytical skills
• Proficiency in computers and industry software
• Good English communication skills both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Conduct Aircraft Technical Investigations within CAMO/MRO
• Lead Human Factor investigations within CAMO/MRO
• Perform Technical Occurrence assessments within CAMO/MRO
• Support Safety Management System functions within MRO/CAMO
• Apply Safety Risk management tools and techniques
• Involve in Risk Assessments and Management of Changes
• Support Health and Safety processes in CAMO/MRO
• Assist in reviewing mitigation actions from departments
• Assist in updating company procedures and manuals to maintain compliance
• Assist in preparing Compliance and Safety Notices and Safety Bulletins
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Group Risk, Safety & Security (GRS&S) team as a Safety Assurance Engineer Level 1 to be based in Doha, Qatar.

As a Safety Assurance Engineer Level 1, you will responsible to associate Safety Management and other team members in operation of company Safety systems and ensure that constant maintenance standards applied to QTR and Customer aircraft are satisfied to the requirements to Parts 145, M and CAMO.

Specific Responsibilities For The Role Include

• Aircraft Technical Investigations within CAMO/MRO
• Human Factor related investigations within CAMO/MRO
• Technical Occurrence assessments within CAMO/MRO
• Safety Management System functions within MRO/CAMO
• Utilizing of Safety Risk management tools and Techniques
• Involvement in the Risk Assessments/Management of Changes .
• Health and Safety processes in CAMO/MRO
• Support the review of mitigation actions submitted by various departments
• Assist in updating current company technical procedures and manuals in to maintain compliance to acceptable levels

About You

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

• Relevant tertiary qualification with a minimum of 4 years of job-related experience within aviation safety or a related field, ideally within the aviation sector.
• Tertiary Degree or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.
• Experience in Safety, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and/or Continued Airworthiness environment.
• Experience in aircraft technical investigations and human factor related investigations within CAMO/MRO.
• Experience in Safety Management section of CAMO and MRO.
• Experience in Occupational Health and Safety will be considered as an additional skill.
