Job description

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or vocational qualification (electricity and/or hydraulics and/or mechanics) and industry recognized certificates.
  2. 5 - 7 years in ROV related services
  3. Knowledge of Electronics, high voltage electrical equipment
  4. Understanding of hydraulic equipment preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Testing, maintenance and repair of ROV systems and ancillary equipment
  2. ROV system fault finding and repair
  3. Assist with system certification, PMS and mobilisation / de-mobilisation activities
  4. Provide technical and operational support to ROV Superintendent and Workshop Manager
  5. Complete electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic work activities and carry out electrical and mechanical main lift terminations
  6. Support operational ROV systems as required
  7. Assist in the identification and ordering of suitable spare parts to ensure they are available when required
  8. Ensure ROV workshop critical spares and stock levels are maintained
  9. Update and maintain ROV system service records and complete job cards
  10. Interface with other workshop disciplines as required
  11. Responsible for own occupational safety/health, safety of fellow employees and members of the public
  12. Ensure safe operations to avoid high impact on the environment
  13. Maintain good housekeeping of the ROV workshop area
  14. Assist in the implementation of departmental processes to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and any other standards and requirements
  15. Implement and actively enforce compliance to work processes to ensure the health and safety of employees and the protection of the environment
