Job summary

Swan Global is seeking a Rolling Stock Overhaul Technician in Qatar to perform overhaul, repair, and refurbishment of rolling stock components in line with industry standards and approved maintenance instructions. This role supports fleet reliability and availability through safe and thorough work.

Requirements include a Diploma/ITI in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years in rolling stock or heavy maintenance, plus basic fault-finding and reading technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3+ years experience in rolling stock, heavy maintenance, or industrial environment.
• Experience in mechanical/electrical overhaul works.
• Basic fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform overhaul and repair of bogies, wheelsets, couplers, gangways, doors, HVAC systems, and other rolling stock components.
• Execute maintenance activities as per approved procedures and production plans.
• Conduct basic fault finding and diagnostics.
• Ensure all overhaul activities comply with industry standards and technical manuals.
• Produce detailed and analytical technical reports where required.
• Provide technical support during depot incidents when required.

Contract Duration: 1 Year (Extendable)
Working Hours: 10 Hours per day / 6 Days per week

Job Summary

The Rolling Stock Overhaul Technician is responsible for undertaking overhaul, repair, and refurbishment of rolling stock components in accordance with industry standards, safety requirements, and approved maintenance instructions to support fleet reliability and availability.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3+ years experience in rolling stock, heavy maintenance, or industrial environment.
• Experience in mechanical/electrical overhaul works.
• Basic fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Preferred:

• Experience with TACT, Equinox, or CORMAP systems.
• Previous tram/metro/railway experience.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Perform overhaul and repair of bogies, wheelsets, couplers, gangways, doors, HVAC systems, and other rolling stock components.

• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
