Job summary

An infrastructure company is seeking a Rig Operations Manager to oversee daily rig operations in Doha, Qatar. The role involves managing personnel, ensuring adherence to safety and HSE policies, and coordinating all aspects of rig mobilization and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of drilling operations, and ERP experience, particularly with SAP.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily rig operations, including drilling, maintenance, and safety compliance.
• Supervise and lead rig personnel to ensure high levels of performance and safety awareness.
• Coordinate rig mobilization, rig-up, and rig-down activities as required.
• Enforce adherence to HSE policies, well control procedures, and industry standards.
• Monitor rig equipment performance and oversee routine maintenance activities.
• Liaise with drilling supervisors, engineers, and contractors for operational alignment.
• Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Manage rig inventory and ensure availability of necessary tools and spare parts.
• Report rig activities, incidents, and operational status accurately and timely.
• Identify and resolve operational issues promptly, escalating critical matters as needed.

Skills
