Job summary

University of Doha for Science and Technology invites applications for Respiratory Therapy faculty at Assistant/Associate Professor rank in the College of Health Sciences. The successful candidate will develop and deliver courses, assess student progress, and collaborate with industry and other institutions to support accreditation and program quality.

Qualifications

• PhD or Doctorate in Respiratory Therapy or related field, or graduate/undergraduate degree in Respiratory Therapy if PhD is not in RT.
• Unrestricted license eligibility for the state/country where the program is located.
• RRT credentials from NBRC/CSRT preferred.
• Minimum five years of full-time equivalent academic experience.
• Minimum two years of full-time equivalent clinical practice experience.
• Demonstrated curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Experience with diverse teaching approaches including lab, simulation, and practicums.
• Proficiency with educational technology and platforms.
• Demonstrated information literacy skills.
• Contributions to applied research, scholarship, or knowledge transfer with international scope; preference for curriculum development contributions.
• Commitment to applied and experiential learning; ability to design authentic learning experiences and assessments.
• Digital literacy and fluency with technology systems; ability to model use of digital tools for research and learning.
• Ability to develop technology-enriched learning environments; lifelong learning mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; collaborative and collegial demeanor; leadership in technology-based projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and evaluate courses in Respiratory Therapy within the College of Health Sciences.
• Evaluate student progress and manage learning environment resources.
• Liaise with industry and other educational institutions; participate in advisory committees; coordinate program projects.
• Maintain accreditation documents and engage in instructional development/improvement plans.
• Contribute to professional and community life within the University.
