AtkinsRéalis in Doha, Qatar seeks an Experienced Senior Resident Engineer / Construction Manager to supervise and deliver large-scale, MEP-intensive data center projects. You will lead site teams, coordinate cross-disciplinary work, and ensure compliance with design, safety, and regulatory standards.

The role requires 15+ years in site supervision and construction management, strong leadership, and ability to manage complex interface issues across civil, mechanical, electrical, and ICT systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• UPDA/MMUP Grade A with data center experience required.
• 15+ years of experience in supervision and construction management on large-scale MEP/mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the consultant site supervision team for data center construction projects.
• Oversee civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) and ELV works to ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Coordinate with clients, authorities, designers, and vendors for smooth project execution.
• Review contractor submissions, method statements, shop drawings, and material approvals.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to verify quality, safety, and progress.
• Monitor project schedules and milestones, identify risks, and propose corrective actions.
• Ensure critical systems (power, cooling, fire protection, ICT) meet design and operational requirements.
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination meetings and resolve technical/interface issues.
• Review testing, commissioning, IST, and handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor contractor performance, resources, productivity, and adherence to schedules.
• Prepare and present progress reports and risk assessments to senior management.
• Escalate critical quality, safety, and interface issues impacting delivery.
• Support final inspections, snagging, and handover documentation.
• Mentor resident engineers, inspectors, and discipline leads to maintain supervision standards.

• Prepare and present progress reports, risk assessments, quality observations, and project updates to senior management and clients.
• Escalate critical quality, safety, and interface issues that may impact project delivery.
• Support final inspections, snagging, punch-list closeout, and project handover documentation.
• Mentor and manage resident engineers, inspectors, and discipline leads to ensure consistent supervision standards.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• UPDA/MMUP Grade A Data Center Experience [at least 1 project is delivered in the last 5 years] Mandatory.
• 15+ years Experiences.
• Site supervision and construction management on large-scale, MEP-intensive or mission-critical projects; leading site teams, coordinating disciplines, managing inspections, monitoring progress and escalating quality/interface issues.
