Job description

The Position

In this role, you will contribute to building the scientific understanding of Novo Nordisk's GLP-marketed products in Diabetes and Obesity, sharing medical knowledge and clinical trial data with stakeholders. You will collaborate across functions to execute medical tactics aligned with the company's strategy and build relationships with KOLs and HCPs. Your responsibilities include training, evidence generation, strategic insights, scientific dialogue, and improving clinical care pathways, all while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Provide medical education to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) in Qatar.
2. Engage in scientific exchanges with external stakeholders using innovative omnichannel methods of engagement.
3. Gather insights and develop advocacy mapping.
4. Demonstrate a deep understanding of the therapeutic area.
5. Provide scientific support to internal stakeholders and support business planning and execution.
6. Understand the Healthcare System and engage with local Medical Associations to improve clinical care pathways.
7. Maintain good knowledge of Novo Nordisk's and competitors' portfolios.
8. Support evidence generation activities in Qatar and beyond.
9. Support Novo Nordisk's future portfolio.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, MD, PharmD, or PhD in related medical or health sciences.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in medical affairs or related field.
3. Proven experience in medical education and strategic relationship building with Healthcare Professional Associations.
4. Experience in diabetes, obesity, or metabolic diseases is preferred.
5. Ability to communicate scientific content effectively to both experts and non-medical audiences.
6. Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Strong scientific mindset and critical thinking skills.
8. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Language Requirements:

Proficient in both English and Arabic (spoken and written).
