Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd is seeking a Quality Inspector to apply conceptual inspection knowledge and resolve straightforward problems under guidance. The role focuses on determining conformity to customer specs, coordinating with Operations and clients, and documenting inspection results to support corrective actions.

Requires a high school diploma or relevant degree, 5+ years in quality control or 8+ with a diploma, and proficiency with computers and MS Office. On-site in Doha, Qatar.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of Quality Control or discipline-related experience with a degree.
• Proficient in the use of computer and Microsoft programs.

Responsibilities

• Determine product conformity to customer specifications through daily surveillances and ITP inspection points in accordance with the Project Quality Plan
• Identify non-conformity for rectification and ensure final resolution
• Appraise product quality to determine conformity and non-conformity in accordance with the approved drawings and inspection & Test Plan; All inspection results need to be documented, and if non-conformity exists, documentation shall be raised to establish corrective action
• Coordinate interface with Operations, Certifying Authority, Client, Job Sharing personnel, and subcontractor, assuring the conformity to project specifications
• Exercise a proactive approach to the prevention of a problem by interacting with Production, Engineers, and Management personnel
• Liaise with customer representatives, ensuring product conformity and stage release for each activity denoted within the Project Quality Plan/ITP
