Job Purpose Summary

The incumbent is mainly responsible for providing various cash-based services to customers over the counter in an efficient, courteous, and error-free manner. They may also replace the Head Teller during their absence based on seniority.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Shareholder & Financial: Carry out branch cash and teller-related transactions efficiently to meet branch targets.
• Customer (Internal & External): Ensure customer satisfaction by providing prompt cash services and build strong relationships with customers and related units.
• Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory): Process transactions in compliance with policies and regulations, verify documents, identify cross-selling opportunities, authorize transactions within delegated limits, and handle remittance and clearing processes.
• Balance currency, coin, and checks at the end of each day and prepare reports.
• Address unresolved queries and escalate as needed.
• Learning & Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of teller functions, identify professional development areas, and provide training to team members as needed.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Diploma or university degree in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Information Technology.
