Job summary

Airswift is seeking a senior QA/QC Lead Auditor for site work at the Dukhan project in Qatar. You will oversee QA/QC requirements across construction, fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical equipment, ensuring traceability and compliance with project standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

Location and Contract Duration

Location: Site - Dukhan Contract Duration: 36 Months

Responsibilities

• Review and support approval of QA/QC documentation including Quality Plans, ITPs, QCPs, MARs, Erection Procedures, Test Procedures, and related quality records.
• Ensure implementation of project QA/QC requirements at construction sites, supplier facilities, and subcontractor works.
• Conduct surveillance and inspections of fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities for mechanical equipment.
• Identify non-conformances, initiate NCRs, and monitor corrective and preventive actions through to close-out.
• Monitor construction, inspection, and test records to ensure traceability and compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor preservation activities, calibration records, and IMTE registers.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, subcontractors, vendors, third-party inspectors, and QA/QC personnel to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Participate in quality audits, compliance checks, pre-qualification audits, quality walkthroughs, and QA/QC meetings.
• Monitor quality KPIs, special processes, and personnel performance.
• Support implementation of Quality Surveillance Programs, Completion Management Systems (CMS), Inspection & Test Records (ITRs), Technical Integrity Verification (TIV), Flawless Project Delivery (FPD), and Project Quality Health Check (PQHC) programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.
• IRCA Certified QMS Lead Auditor.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in major Greenfield and Brownfield Oil & Gas, Refinery, LNG/NGL, Petrochemical, or similar process plant projects.
• Experience working with major EPC/EPCIC contractors and/or end users in a similar QA/QC role with responsibility for Mechanical construction and commissioning activities.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC requirements, testing requirements, and acceptance criteria related to static and rotating equipment.
• Hands-on experience in preparation, review, and approval of Quality Plans, ITPs, QTPs, MARs, erection procedures, test procedures, and related quality documentation.
• Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning of static equipment including pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, coalescers, tanks, boilers, heaters, and flare packages.
• Proven experience with rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, AFCs, mixers, fans, blowers, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of international codes and standards including ASME, TEMA, ASTM, API, ISO, BS EN, IOGP, Shell DEP, and MESC specifications.
• Experience managing inspection teams, quality surveillance programs, audits, quality management systems, and discipline KPIs.
• Professional training and certifications in Welding, NDT, Painting, Insulation, Refractory, or related disciplines are preferred.
• Memberships or certifications from internationally recognized institutions such as ASQ, CQI, or equivalent are advantageous.
