The successful candidate will have a strong aviation background, experience in live airport environments, and the ability to maintain operational continuity while complying with aviation standards.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in engineering, construction management, project management, or related discipline.
• Professional certification such as PMP, or equivalent.

The Project

This is an opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art airport project in Doha. Mace have been delivering PMC services on the airport for several years, increasing passenger capacity and improving overall services.

We are seeking an experienced project manager to join a major aviation programme. The role will be responsible for leading the delivery of complex airport infrastructure and operational projects, ensuring successful planning, stakeholder management, commercial oversight, risk management, and project execution from inception through to completion.

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in the aviation sector, with experience delivering projects within live airport environments while maintaining operational continuity and compliance with aviation standards.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Champion Safety First, ensuring compliance with HSE standards while fostering wellbeing, inclusion and a positive safety culture.
• Manage end-to-end project delivery, maintaining quality systems and supporting senior leaders to achieve programme milestones.
• Oversee budgets, risks and ethical governance, contributing to long term business sustainability.
• Manage collaborative project teams, driving performance, stakeholder engagement and best practice innovation across all phases.
• Manage the planning, coordination, and delivery of aviation-related projects in accordance with programme objectives.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Act as the primary interface between project stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Drive project governance, reporting, and performance management activities.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve issues impacting delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and operational requirements within an airport environment.
• Manage project risks, opportunities, and change control processes.
• Support procurement, contract administration, and commercial management activities as required.
• Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and programme updates.
• Ensure projects are delivered with minimal impact to airport operations and passenger experience.

Essential

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree qualified in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as PMP, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10-15 years of project management experience.
• Demonstrable experience delivering projects within the aviation sector.
• Experience working on airport terminal, airside, landside, baggage handling, aviation systems, infrastructure, or operational improvement projects.
• Strong understanding of stakeholder management within a complex operational environment.
• Experience managing consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and reporting skills.
• Strong commercial and risk management capabilities.

Preferred

• Experience working in major international airports.
• Previous client-side, PMC, or programme management experience.
• Familiarity with airport operational requirements, aviation regulations, and live environment project delivery.
• Experience delivering projects across multiple workstreams within a large airport expansion or transformation programme.
