Job summary

QatarEnergy LNG is seeking an experienced cost control professional to support complex brownfield projects in Qatar. The role focuses on ensuring timely and in-budget execution through functional planning and cost control knowledge, with a strong emphasis on uniform cost control procedures across a large project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
• 6 years of multi-discipline oil & gas experience in planning and cost control across project phases.
• Experience with WP&B budgeting and cost control in projects.

Responsibilities

• Implement integrated projects cost controls procedures for QatarEnergy LNG CAT IV to VI projects.
• Ensure cost control processes delivery to meet department objective.
• Review and update cost control processes and procedures and suggest improvements where applicable.
• Support projects funding, cost monitoring and control to ensure project delivery within approved schedule and budget while meeting projects objectives.
• Maintain clear reporting and lines of communication requirements for cost control with projects management teams.
• Coordinate and collect WP&B project budget data and provide to Project Assurance for compilation.
• Provide support to project management and contracts in investigating contractual deviations and cost control analysis.
• Establish performance analysis process leading to benchmarking and best-practice awareness in project cost control.
• Provide guidance to project cost ensuring department efficiencies.
• Support enhancement of work methods within projects control function.
