Job description

Linum Consult’s client is a major international company working within the energy sector. They are currently seeking a Project Civil Engineer to be based in their Doha office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Overseeing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
2. Developing detailed project plans, including scope, schedule and budget
3. Reviewing engineering designs, drawings, and specifications using CAD software
4. Conducting site investigations and risk assessments
5. Ensuring designs comply with building codes, regulations, and local and international industry standards
6. Ensuring executed work complies with approved designs, local, national, and international building codes and regulations
7. Monitoring project progress, identifying potential delays, and implementing corrective actions

PROFILE

1. Degree qualification in Civil Engineering
2. At least 10 years’ experience in similar roles in large companies, with a minimum of 3 years in positions of increasing managerial responsibilities
3. Good understanding of the power and/or energy sectors, with a history of executing the civil engineering works on power plant construction projects
4. Fluent in English and preferably Arabic as well
5. Currently working in Doha, with a good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture & working environment
