Banyan Tree Doha is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead pre-opening engineering operations, ensuring all systems are ready for opening day.

You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety and building services, manage budgets, coordinate contractors, and develop preventive maintenance plans to guarantee operational readiness.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and hands-on management to ensure a smooth opening and a compliant, safe hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale hotel pre-opening engineering operations.
• Strong leadership and contractor coordination skills.
• Excellent knowledge of building codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee set-up, installation and commissioning of hotel systems and infrastructure (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety).
• Lead and develop the engineering team for day-one operations.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules to ensure operational readiness on opening day.
• Manage the engineering budget and procurement of tools and equipment.
• Coordinate with Project Management to align timelines and design integration.
• Provide post-opening technical support and establish long-term maintenance strategies.
