Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to design, execute, and interpret biomarker-focused studies for Parkinson's disease. The role involves assay development, clinical sample analysis, and translational research conducted within a multidisciplinary team.

You will collaborate with clinical researchers and biobanks, apply validated assays to clinical cohorts, and contribute to publications and grant applications while mentoring students and trainees.

Qualifications

• PhD inBiochemistry/Neuroscience/Neurobiology/Analytical Chemistry, Bioengineering, Cell or Molecular Biology, Clinical Chemistry or related field with post-qualification research experience.
• Experience in assay development, biomarker research, or analytical method validation.
• Experience with human biofluids, clinical samples, cohort-based studies, diagnostics development, or translational research is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Designs, executes and interprets research studies to discover and validate biomarkers for Parkinson's disease and related disorders.
• Develops, optimizes, and validates assays to detect biomarkers in biofluids and tissues.
• Collaborates with clinicians, biobanks, industry partners, and multidisciplinary teams to advance biomarker validation and translational research.
• Communicates findings through publications, presentations, and progress reports.
