Job summary

AccorHotel in Doha is seeking a Pool Technician to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the hotel’s pools and spa facilities. You will ensure water quality, safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction by monitoring chemistry, filtering, and equipment performance.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, record keeping, responding to guest requests, coordinating with Engineering and Housekeeping, and adhering to health codes and hotel standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of pool equipment, water chemistry, and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• The Pool Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operation of all swimming pools, spas and associated equipment.
• Ensure water quality, safety and cleanliness meet health and safety standards while providing a positive guest experience.
• Monitor and maintain pool water chemistry by testing and balancing pH, chlorine, and other chemical levels.
• Perform daily inspections of pools, spas and surrounding areas to ensure cleanliness, functionality and safety.
• Clean pools, spas, filters and pool decks regularly including vacuuming, skimming and brushing.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators and dosing systems.
• Maintain accurate records of water quality tests, maintenance activities and chemical usage.
• Respond promptly to guest or management requests related to pool areas and ensure timely resolution.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with local health codes and hotel standards.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Housekeeping departments for any concerns related to pool area maintenance or cleanliness.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in pool maintenance or a similar role in a hospitality or recreation setting is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and basic proficiency in English.
