A leading global manpower provider in the energy sector is seeking a 'Plant Safety Officer' for a long-term offshore contract. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety operations, participating in safety reviews, audits, and managing safety incidents. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or science, along with 6 years of experience in safety within the oil and gas industry.

We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source a Plant Safety Officer. This is a long-term contract role. Please see details below.
Title: Plant Safety Officer
Start Date: ASAP (typically within 1 month notice)
Location: Offshore
Working Schedule: 28 ON / 28 OFF Rotation
--Experience Required—
Key Job Accountabilities
• Support department ensure that 100% compliance to Operations Readiness Plans (ORP) deliverables and ORR checklist requirements to achieve safe and flawless start-up of facilities.
• Participate in safety systems Pre–Start-Up Safety Review (PSSR) walkdowns and other systems involving various stakeholders such as Fire Protection, Environment, Security etc. Ensure HSE punches are captured in a timely manner and recorded appropriately.
• Prepare HSE startup plan for the concerned offshore project and ensure seamless P-PA process, tracking all actions for compliance.
• Support continuous enhancement of safety culture by leading by example, coaching and advising personnel on safe behaviours and practices.
• Conduct permit to work (PTW) audits, safety surveys and compliance assessments. Conduct inspections of safety equipment in the area of responsibility to ensure safe use on demand.
• Act as facilitator for safety incident management supporting department objectives. Participate in investigation of assigned safety incidents and prepare incident reports.
• Participate in offshore asset safety tours and SHE committee meetings for the department.
• Support stewardship of asset specific trend analysis and communicate to personnel in the assigned area.
• Conduct assessments for compliance with requirements of safety procedures and programs. Participate and contribute to hazard/risk assessments including Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Formal Risk Assessment (FRA) and Risk Register reviews.
• Participate in emergency drill and exercises and support real emergencies as Duty Safety Representative (DSR).

• Bachelor is degree in engineering or science.
Knowledge and Key Skills
• 6 years’ varied experience in safety operations within oil and gas industry.
