Job summary

Confidential Jobs is seeking a Planning Engineer to develop, monitor, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project. You will coordinate with project teams, track progress, identify delays, and prepare recovery plans for timely completion.

The role requires 5–15 years of planning and scheduling in construction or infrastructure, a civil or related engineering degree, and preferably PMP certification.

Qualifications

• 5–15 years of planning and scheduling experience in construction, infrastructure or buildings.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline; PMP advantageous.
• Understanding of project controls, scheduling techniques, earned value management, delay analysis and claims management.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Prepare baseline programs, WBS, and resource-loaded schedules.
• Monitor progress and update schedules regularly.
• Analyze schedule variances and identify delays and risks.
• Prepare recovery and mitigation plans to maintain timelines.
• Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and subcontractors.
• Conduct critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor resource utilization and productivity trends.
• Review contractor schedules for compliance with requirements.
• Assist in Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis.
• Participate in project meetings and present planning updates to management and clients.

The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely completion of projects. The role involves coordinating with project teams, tracking progress, identifying delays, preparing recovery plans, and providing management with accurate planning and reporting information

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Prepare baseline programs, work breakdown structures (WBS), and resource-loaded schedules.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules on a regular basis.
• Analyze schedule variances and identify potential delays and risks.
• Prepare recovery and mitigation plans to maintain project timelines.
• Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and subcontractors regarding project progress.
• Conduct critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor resource utilization and productivity trends.
• Review contractor and subcontractor schedules for compliance with project requirements.
• Assist in preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5-15 years of planning and scheduling experience in construction, infrastructure, Buildings.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• PMP certification is advantageous.
• Understanding of project controls, scheduling techniques, and earned value management.
• Knowledge of delay analysis and claims management.

Working Conditions

• Work may involve office-based and site-based activities.
• Occasional travel to project locations as required.
