Responsibilities

• Design & optimize well drilling, completion, and production strategies
• Conduct reservoir simulations using industry software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel)
• Analyze well logs, production data, and core samples for performance enhancement
• Collaborate with geoscientists on field development plans
• Ensure compliance with Qatar energy regulations & HSE standards
• Prepare technical reports for stakeholders
• Troubleshoot production challenges (water/gas breakthrough, sand control)

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years in upstream petroleum engineering (offshore/onshore)
• Expertise In:
• Reservoir Engineering (MBAL, Prosper, Eclipse)
• Production Optimization (Nodal analysis, PLT interpretation)
• Drilling Engineering (WellPlan, Compass)
• Strong knowledge of Qatari oil/gas fields (preferred)
• Bachelor’s in Petroleum/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering
• PE/Chartered Engineer certification (advantageous)
