Job summary

Sidra Medicine in Doha invites applications for Division Chief of pediatric and congenital cardiac surgery. The role leads clinical, educational, research and executive management, guiding strategy and program development for the Sidra Pediatric Program.

The successful candidate will coordinate care across elective and emergent cases, mentor surgeons and allied staff, and collaborate with the International Medical Office to expand outreach.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as an academic pediatric and congenital cardiac surgeon.
• Broad range of expertise in pediatric and congenital cardiac surgery.
• Demonstrated leadership in education, research and clinical service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Identify vision and strategic direction for the division and drive implementation.
• Oversee budgets and financial performance for the division.
• Ensure quality, safety, regulatory compliance and NSQIP participation.
• Lead service planning, capacity planning, and collaboration with anesthesia and surgical teams.
• Develop multi-disciplinary teams and mentor division staff.
• Lead recruitment, retention and professional development initiatives.
• Promote research, teaching, and academic initiatives within the division.
