Job description

Pastry Chef - Doha, Qatar


We are hiring a talented Pastry Chef to join our team in Doha. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing delicious pastries and desserts for our restaurant. You will also be in charge of managing inventory, training staff, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the pastry kitchen.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Create and prepare a variety of pastries, including cakes, cookies, pastries, and other desserts
  2. Develop new recipes and innovate on existing ones to keep up with current trends
  3. Manage inventory and ensure all ingredients are stocked appropriately
  4. Train new pastry kitchen staff on recipes and techniques
  5. Oversee the production of all pastry items to ensure quality and consistency
  6. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the pastry kitchen at all times
  7. Collaborate with other chefs to create dessert menus that complement the overall restaurant menu

Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
  2. In-depth knowledge of baking techniques and methods
  3. Creativity and passion for creating unique desserts
  4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and manage a team
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  6. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  7. Excellent time-management skills
  8. Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Culinary degree or certificate preferred
  3. Minimum 3 years' experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume restaurant
  4. Fluent in English (Arabic is an asset)

Salary: 1600$ per month
