The Food & Beverage Supervisor is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The Food & Beverage Supervisor position provides an enjoyable, expertly served beverage or dining experience conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence for quality, professionalism, and friendliness. F&B Supervisors anticipate and service guests' needs before being asked and are knowledgeable about all available menu options, beverage lists, and daily specials. Ensuring that guests' requests are served correctly without fail.

Job Description:
  • Supervising the floor during meal periods to ensure that all standards and sequence of service are met through all guest interactions.
  • Suggest the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering appealing and precise descriptions of each item's ingredients, taste, and preparation methods; proactively figure out any possibility that elevates guest dining experience by Value Added Recommendation.
  • Communicate rapidly and accurately with the kitchen about any needs or requests regarding guests; coordinate food timings; check completed kitchen orders with the guest's original order; serve items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure excellent food quality.
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. If necessary, take the proper action deemed wise and effectual and report to upper management afterward.
  • Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items.
  • Coordinate section of tables' needs using service staff as support in better serving the guests.
  • Ensure the work area is ready for service with pre- and post-service checks completed; assist in preparation of mise-en-place.
  • Direct colleagues and take responsibility for quality and sequence of service in his/her work area; take orders for, serve (where applicable, prepare) food and beverages to guests as per hotel standards in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with wines and menu items and able to compose and recommend suitable menu progression and wine pairing; upsell sensitively.
  • Provide genuine hospitality and recognition, acting as host/hostess in the work area. Keep abreast of events in the hotel and promote services and products.
  • Engage in guest interaction in a sensitive and appropriate manner; anticipate guest needs and ascertain satisfaction; take ownership of guest concerns and requests and act decisively to ensure guest satisfaction when glitches occur.
  • Be highly sensitive to guest preferences; assist in compiling guest history; offer a special service touch when an opportunity is presented.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to the staff. Observe performance and encourage when necessary.
  • Communicate with guests and employees using a positive and clear speaking voice. Listen to understand requests, respond with appropriate actions, and provide accurate information.
  • Work closely with the assistant/Manager in monthly inventory of beverages, china ware, glasses, silverware, and linen. Assist the assistant and Manager in training, supervising, and counseling.
  • Support the entire Food and Beverage operation including supervising other areas if necessary.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the same field.
  • Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees, and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand, and the Company.
  • Working computer skills and knowledge including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet, and Micros.
  • Good personal & professional references.
