Job summary

Naffco in Doha, DAW, QA is seeking a Draughtsman for Firefighting to join our on-site team. This full-time role focuses on precise AutoCAD drawings for fire protection systems and cross-disciplinary coordination to ensure project alignment.

You will develop shop, installation, as-built, and coordination drawings, review specs, and revise plans per consultant feedback while maintaining NFPA and QCDD compliance. 2–5 years in firefighting/drafting and strong attention to detail are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in drafting or engineering.
• 2–5 years of drafting experience in fire protection.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and QCDD is a plus.
• Ability to read specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for Fire Fighting and Fire Protection systems.
• Develop Shop Drawings, Installation Drawings, As-Built Drawings, and Coordination Drawings.
• Prepare fire fighting layouts including sprinkler systems, fire hose reels, hydrants, fire pumps, piping networks, and related systems.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to ensure accurate drafting.
• Coordinate drawings with MEP, architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines.
• Revise drawings based on consultant/client comments and site requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable project specifications, NFPA standards, QCDD requirements, and approved design criteria.
• Coordinate with Engineers, Estimators, Project Managers, and Site Teams to support project execution.
• Maintain proper drawing revisions and documentation.
