Job summary

Swan Global is seeking an Offshore Methods Draftsman (Offshore Construction / Subsea) to produce and maintain method drawings for offshore execution, including lifting/rigging sketches, deck layouts, installation sequences, and temporary works.

You will convert engineering inputs into clear IFC/IFR drawings, manage drawing registers, and coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA/QC to support safe, efficient offshore operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Drafting / Mechanical / Civil or equivalent.
• 7+ years of offshore EPC/construction drafting experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with MicroStation/Navisworks/SolidWorks.
• Understanding of lifting/rigging terminology and temporary works.

Responsibilities

• Develop 2D/3D drawings for offshore construction methods (installation sequences, deck layouts, equipment arrangements, lifting plans, temporary supports).
• Convert method engineering inputs into clear IFC/IFR drawings, sketches, and markups for offshore teams.
• Ensure drawings align with HSE, lifting/rigging best practices, and project constraints (vessel, crane capacity, access/egress).
• Manage drawing registers, revisions, and as-built updates; coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA/QC.
• Support offshore queries with quick turnarounds and accurate revisions.

Reporting line

Typically reports to Project/Construction/Methods Manager within a methods or subsea engineering group.
