Job summary

Qatar Fabrication Company is seeking an experienced cost estimator to prepare bid estimates for multimillion-dollar oil and gas projects in Ras Laffan. You will review tender packages, perform quantity take-offs, and compile detailed estimates aligned with project scope and historical data.

Key responsibilities include coordinating with procurement, operations, and engineering teams, evaluating subcontractor quotes, and recording assumptions and basis of estimates for auditability.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years in offshore construction with jackets, topsides, or bridges.
• Ability to read Engineering Drawings.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for bidding multimillion-dollar oil and gas projects.
• Review tender packages, clarify requirements, and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Perform RFQ evaluations and select subcontractors with competitive pricing.
• Maintain records of bid bases and ensure approvals and sign-offs.
