Job summary

Dukhan Bank in Doha is seeking an experienced IT professional to support the administration and maintenance of the bank's network infrastructure and telecommunications, including LAN, WAN and VPNs, to ensure uninterrupted services for the business and customers.

The role covers equipment maintenance, incident troubleshooting, change coordination, vendor liaison, performance monitoring, documentation updates, security controls, and participation in ATM rollouts, with a focus on collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science required.
• Minimum 5 years IT experience in Networking and Telecommunications.
• Banking sector experience preferred.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain network and telecommunications equipment in proper working order.
• Troubleshoot and support network and telecommunications incidents/problems.
• Assist in configuration and changes on all network and telecommunications.

• Monitor performance and update network diagrams/documentation.

Job description

• Support in the administration and maintenance of the entire network infrastructure and telecommunication systems including all aspects of LAN, WAN and VPN’s across the bank ensuring efficient and uninterrupted services to the business and Dukhan Bank’s Customers.

Responsibilities

Network Management

• Ensuring that all network and telecommunications equipment are maintained in proper working order.
• Troubleshoot and provide support for network and telecommunications related incident/problems.
• Assist in configuration and associated changes on all network and telecommunications.
• Coordinates the technical issues with third parties and suppliers according to maintenance and support contract terms and conditions.
• Monitor the processes and procedures for network and telecommunications performance monitoring.
• Update the documentation and network diagrams received from the implementation as required.
• Provides recommendations with regards to expansion, upgrade or deployment of new LANs WANs and Wireless Network technologies.
• Operates and maintains security controls for all network and telecommunications devices as per security recommendations.
• Maintains software and hardware registration and inventory to provide upgrades as necessary and ensure appropriate records are maintained.
• Administer the additions to and changes in network and telecommunications resources as required to support both strategic and business unit plans.
• Assist in the restoration of service and data as a result of system failures whether local or remote.
• Provides the required technical support for ATMs roll out and maintenance.

MIS and Reports

• Coordinates the preparation of timely and accurate functional statements and reports to meet functional requirements, policies and standards.
• Perform all relevant Business Banking policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.

Related Assignments

• Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
• To act as a back-up in the absence of a colleague.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information System, Computer Science or equivalent.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years relevant IT experience in Networking and Telecommunications.
• Experience in the banking sector is preferred.
