Job summary

Gulf Energy Technology and Projects in Doha, Qatar is seeking a Testing & Service Engineer – Motors and Generators to join our field service team. You will test, diagnose, repair, maintain, and commission low, medium, and high-voltage motors and generators.

Responsibilities include testing, inspection, fault diagnosis, rewinding, bearing replacement, balancing, and vibration analysis, with reporting and compliance to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, inspection, and diagnosis of electric motors and generators (LV, MV, and HV).
• Carry out motor and generator repairs, including rewinding, insulation repairs, bearing replacement, and component refurbishment.
• Perform shaft alignment, rotor balancing, and vibration analysis using specialized equipment.
• Prepare detailed test reports, service reports, and repair documentation.
• Ensure all work complies with company procedures, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Support on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, and emergency breakdown services when required.
• Provide technical recommendations to customers regarding maintenance and equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to deliver quality service within project timelines.
