Job summary

Doha National Food Industries is seeking a microbiology-focused QC analyst to perform microbiological analyses of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure quality and safety. Qualifications

• Proficiency in laboratory techniques, microbiological analysis, and familiarity with laboratory equipment.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and FDA/USDA guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in testing and data recording.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot microbiological issues effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the achievement of company goals.
• Ability to work in a laboratory and manufacturing environment, which may involve standing, walking, and the use of protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological analysis of raw materials in-process samples and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure products are free from harmful microorganisms.
• Perform sterility tests on production equipment, packaging materials, and the environment including air, surfaces, and water to prevent contamination.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of current quality control processes, making recommendations for improvement where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with local and international food safety regulations and implement proper corrective actions when deviations occur.
• Maintain accurate records of test results, findings, and actions taken.
• Prepare reports on microbiological findings for management and regulatory bodies.
• Investigate the root causes of microbiological contamination issues and assist in developing corrective actions to mitigate recurrence.
• Work closely with production, R&D and other departments to maintain food safety standards and improve production processes.
• Provide guidance and training to production staff and new team members on microbiological testing procedures, sanitation practices and food safety protocols.
• Ensure team adherence to food safety and quality standards.
• Conduct regular food safety briefings and reinforce a strong food safety culture.
• Monitor compliance with hygiene and operational procedures.
