Approximately 510,400 PKR, 155,568 INR, 5,255 TND, 1,281 JOD, or 104,270 PHP

The all-inclusive monthly total salary of 6,600 QAR is structured as follows :

  • Basic Salary : 5,600 QAR
  • Transport Allowance : 1,000 QAR

Minimum Requirements :

  • Candidates currently not working in Qatar.
  • Diploma or Associate degree or Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field OR Medical Transcriptionist course certificate after Grade 10.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working as a Medical Transcriptionist.

Role Description :

This role is responsible for providing accurate, updated, complete, and reliable medical documentation to ensure quality patient care and facilitate healthcare delivery. The Medical Transcriptionist transcribes clinical information into written reports, including patient history, assessments, and diagnoses, based on physician reports. The role involves ensuring high-quality reports by identifying inconsistencies or inaccuracies and facilitating effective communication among healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Interpret, transcribe, and type reports accurately and timely.
  2. Understand and transcribe medical terminology and reports, including grammatical terms and punctuations.
  3. Identify inconsistencies or errors in reports and coordinate with physicians for corrections.
  4. Proofread and edit reports for accuracy and completeness.
  5. Review reports prepared by speech recognition technology.
  6. Submit reports for physician approval.
  7. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to legal requirements.
  8. Log and maintain records of transcribed reports.
  9. Translate medical jargon into proper form.
  10. Use appropriate medical and transcription resources.
  11. Ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
  12. Prepare and submit monthly activity and performance reports.
  13. Update resource materials regularly.
  14. Monitor and maintain transcription equipment.
  15. Verify patient information in reports.
  16. Notify supervisors of equipment or dictation issues.
  17. Follow infection control, safety, and quality policies.
  18. Assist in covering other roles in the department as needed.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned.
