Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) is hiring a mechanical maintenance technician for operation plants in Qatar. The role involves maintenance of rotating equipment, pumps, valves, vessels and exchangers, with emphasis on safety and reliability in continuous service.

You will read isometrics and datasheets, carry out independent maintenance, and ensure work aligns with SOPs and site instructions, contributing to plant performance and ESG goals.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma in a relevant trade with hands-on Oil & Gas experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant maintenance experience in petrochemical/fertilizer sectors.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical maintenance in continuous operation plants and rotating equipment.
• Install, remove and fix pumps, blowers, valves, vessels, columns and exchangers.
• Maintain high safety standards when working at heights and in live systems.
• Interpret isometrics, drawings and datasheets; ensure quality and conformity.
• Read and execute jobs per SOPs and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical maintenance and Troubleshooting activities in the continuous operation plants.
• Installation, removal and fixing back of Pumps & Blowers, maintenance of all types of Valves, Vessels, Columns, Exchangers, Pipes, and other static equipment.
• Carry out maintenance activity independently as necessary.
• Handling different type of tools used for maintenance activities and work in high elevation with adequate safety protective equipment.
• Rotating equipment maintenance activities.
• Check work quality and take corrective action to rectify the detected faults through the work examination methods and standards.
• Thorough understanding of the Isometrics, mechanicals drawings and datasheets.
• Cleaning, preserving & maintaining the removed parts of the equipment.
• Good HSEQ record in his past working.
• Read, understand, and execute the jobs as per standard operating procedure/ work instruction.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma in respective trade (12+3 years) 05 years relevant and hands‑on experience in respective trade, in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industry and competency Belong. Connect. Grow. with KBR!
