Mason job vacancy in Doha Qatar

We are looking for an experienced Mason to join our team at a building and construction site in Doha, Qatar. The successful applicant will be responsible for constructing, erecting and repairing brick or stone structures, including walls and walkways.

The ideal candidate should possess good knowledge of materials such as concrete blocks, bricks, stones, terra cotta tiles and steel reinforcement. He/she should also have a good understanding of the principles of reinforcing structures to prevent cracking or other damage from weather or vibrations.

In addition to the construction and repair of brick or stone structures, the Mason will also be responsible for setting out lines using spirit levels and plumb lines; cutting and shaping stone; mixing mortar and cement with water to make concrete; selecting materials according to their color, texture, size and shape; installing insulation in walls; pointing joints with cement mortar; applying plaster finishes to walls; waterproofing foundations by applying waterproofing materials such as asphalt sheeting or bitumen felt; working on ladders or scaffolding when necessary.

We seek someone who is reliable and hardworking with excellent communication skills as well as a commitment to safety procedures. The successful candidate should have minimal work experience in a similar role and be prepared to relocate if necessary. A salary of 1600QR per month is offered for this position.
