Job summary

Nakilat in Qatar is seeking a Marine Procurement professional to manage end-to-end contracting, sourcing strategy, and supplier performance across a panel of categories. You will optimize contracts to drive cost efficiency and value, coordinating with Nakilat and Joint Ventures to realize benefits while ensuring compliance with internal policies and Marine regulations.

Qualifications

• University degree in Procurement and Supply Chain; Law; Business Administration; Engineering (BA and above; Master’s Degree preferred).
• Preferably with membership of CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply)
• Experience in Marine Procurement and contracts management across multiple disciplines.
• Vendor management and contract management experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end contracting activities to enhance returns from spend for goods and services.
• Plan, develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Optimize existing contracts to improve cost and value for Marine spend.
• Identify opportunities for synergies and standardization with JVs.
• Establish regular KPIs and supplier scorecards for categories.
• Record and manage supplier performance issues and corrective actions.
• Perform prequalification and evaluation supplier audits to ensure Nakilat requirements.
• Develop procurement strategy including LTC and GTC for review and award.
• Conduct market analysis and benchmarks for categories of goods and services.
