An exciting opportunity for Manager Facilities to work under Facilities Management — Commercial Corporate Services. Manager Facilities Commercial is responsible for the planning, implementation and management of maintenance plans to assure smooth day to day operations of Doha based offices, QR Commercial facilities and future planned offices of airport, to ensure least failures in service-related issues with maximum utilization of available resources.

Responsibilities

• Constantly review the operation of facilities and systems with a view to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Responsible for monitoring the proper implementation of Facilities Management contractual operational deliverables/obligations to ensure added value and increased productivity while maintaining cost savings.
• Ensure that the Facilities comply with local regulations and constantly monitor to ensure compliance.
• Plan, record and manage relevant standard operating procedures for all emergency situations.
• Conduct regular site visits to the properties and carry out thorough inspections and prepare site inspection reports of defects for corrective action.
• Manage high level stakeholders and tenants on all matters related to Facilities Maintenance, including liaising and follow up with Landlords/ outsourced contractors to carry out necessary repairs and address deficiencies as per the contract.
• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and supervise functions and activities of departmental maintenance personnel and outsourced staff.
• Tabulate and update all maintenance contracts, incident reports and periodically update asset list/register.
• Plan, schedule and organize new building take over in close liaison with the building landlords by conducting an extensive snagging of the premises, ensuring the snags are rectified and the property meets QR standards.
• Ensure that the competency standards for those who work on business or safety critical assets are clearly established and recorded on work plans.
• Successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, continually changing facility environment.
• Initiate and carry out projects that improve facility efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.

Qualifications

• High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification / Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 9 years of job-related experience.
• Bachelor Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 8 years of job-related experience.
• Excellent ability to analyse and interpret the needs of staff customers and offer appropriate solutions within the ambit of laid down guidelines.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of diverse communities / nationalities.
• Well versed and have both theoretical and practical experience in BMS system.
• Detail oriented with ability to deliver outputs within limited time schedules.
• Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinates’ skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
