Overview

This position is based in Ireland.

Diagnoses, repairs, and maintains a wide range of vehicles, from passenger cars (Light Vehicle Mechanic) to vans and light trucks (Commercial Vehicle Technician). Performs routine services, identifies mechanical and electrical faults, and replaces or repairs components.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing on cars, vans, and light commercial vehicles.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
  • Repair or replace faulty components (e.g., brakes, suspension, engine parts, exhausts).
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and prepare for NCT / CVRT tests.
  • Perform oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid checks.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational training or an apprenticeship in automotive technology.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE certifications).
  • Proven experience as a vehicle mechanic / technician.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical).
  • Problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
