Job summary

Swan Global Holdings Group is seeking a Lifting Appointed Person (AP) for construction sites in Qatar to lead lifting operations safely and efficiently. The role requires the LEEA AP certification and a minimum of five years’ lifting experience in construction, with strong planning, supervision, and communication skills.

You will plan, supervise, and inspect lifting activities, coordinate with crane operators and riggers, and ensure compliance with local safety standards and company HSE

Qualifications

• LEEA Appointed Person Certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of lifting operations experience in construction.
• Proven ability to plan, supervise and execute lifting operations safely.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise all lifting operations on construction sites per project requirements and safety standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and prepare method statements for lifting activities.
• Inspect lifting equipment and accessories for regulatory and company compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to crane operators, riggers and lifting personnel.
• Maintain lifting equipment logs and inspection records.
• Ensure compliance with Qatari safety regulations and company HSE policies.
• Investigate lifting incidents and prepare corrective action reports.
• Liaise with project management, HSE and other teams on lifting operations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and lifting plans.
• Communicate effectively to lead the lifting team and ensure proactive problem-solving.

Educational / Certification Requirement:

LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) Appointed Person Certification – Mandatory

Experience:

Minimum 5 years experience in lifting operations within the construction industry

Proven experience in planning, supervising, and executing lifting operations safely

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and supervise all lifting operations on construction sites in accordance with project requirements and safety standards

Conduct risk assessments and prepare method statements for lifting activities
