Job summary

Qatar Airways is hiring a Licensed Aircraft Engineer Level 1 - Structure in Doha to deliver aircraft maintenance activities for flight operations. You will oversee tasks within your authority, release work by mechanics, and ensure safety and reliability in accordance with QR procedures.

Essential qualifications include a Diploma or degree with relevant experience and the ability to mentor and train technicians while ensuring proper tools and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Essential: Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or degree with minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Must arrange to have equipment, heavy vehicle driving license to facilitate maintenance tasks.
• Diploma/degree with required experience as per role

Responsibilities

• Release final work accomplished by Mechanics to ensure compliance with standards.
• Ensure tasks meet company and customer standards and schedule requirements.
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to Technicians and Aircraft Mechanics.
• When supervising others, ensure workmanship quality and proper use of tools.

About the Role

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Technical Engineering team as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer Level 1 who is responsible to deliver aircraft Maintenance activities to directly support flight operations maintenance checks and duties within their authority as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer. To provide specialized knowledge skills and expertise and require ensuring safe, effective and efficient operation.

Operational

Plan assigned activities in an effective and efficient manner, operate equipment or use tooling relative to assigned tasks within framework of Qatar Airways procedures. Reviews work procedures, standards and proposes improvements where procedures are not appropriate to ensure work processes are effective. Responsible for the final release of work accomplished by the Mechanics. Ensure tasks are performed to meet company/Customer standard and target such as dispatch reliability and level of acceptable deferred defects. Ensure delivery standard of QR/customer products are met. Aircraft maintenance tasks are accomplished in accordance with laid down policies and procedures. Provide satisfactory support to internal and external customers. Implement solutions to technical problems within his range of his authority, and ensure that aircrafts or components serviceability standards are maintained to meet schedule requirements. Provide guidance and or on the job training to the Technicians and Aircraft Mechanics reporting to this position. When supervising the wok of others, ensuring that acceptable standard of workmanship and quality are maintained and the correct tools are employed to accomplish the task.

About You

High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience

Essential

Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or Trade or vocation aircraft maintenance qualification or Degree (B. Eng., BSc) or equivalent in aircraft engineering + As per company requirement, must arrange to have equipment, heavy vehicle driving license to facilitate Maintenance task requirements. Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. Using mathematics to solve problems. Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
