Job summary

Advanced Search Group seeks a Licensed Aircraft Engineer specialized in In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) maintenance in Qatar to support flight operations. The role requires delivering aircraft maintenance activities within the engineer's authority, ensuring safe, effective and efficient operation with compliance to standards.

Responsibilities include planning activities, reviewing procedures, releasing work, and guiding Technicians.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in aircraft maintenance with QR license.
• Minimum 3 years of aircraft certifying experience.
• Valid heavy vehicle driving license per company needs.
• Strong problem-solving and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan assigned activities and coordinate maintenance tasks in line with Qatar Airways procedures.
• Review work procedures and propose improvements to ensure efficient processes.
• Take final responsibility for the release of work performed by Mechanics.
• Ensure maintenance tasks meet company and customer standards and reliability targets.
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to Technicians and Aircraft Mechanics.
• Supervise others to maintain workmanship quality and proper use of tools.
• Perform other department duties as directed by the Head of Department.

Description

Responsible to deliver aircraft Maintenance activities to directly support flight operations maintenance checks and duties within their authority as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer. To provide specialized knowledge skills and expertise and require ensuring safe, effective and efficient operation.

Some Of The Tasks Include

• Plan assigned activities in an effective and efficient manner, operate equipment or use tooling relative to assigned tasks within framework of Qatar Airways procedures.
• Reviews work procedures, standards and proposes improvements where procedures are not appropriate to ensure work processes are effective.
• Responsible for the final release of work accomplished by the Mechanics. Ensure tasks are performed to meet company/Customer standard and target such as dispatch reliability and level of acceptable deferred defects.
• Ensure delivery standard of QR/customer products are met. Aircraft maintenance tasks are accomplished in accordance with laid down policies and procedures. Provide satisfactory support to internal and external customers.
• Implement solutions to technical problems within his range of his authority, and ensure that aircrafts or components serviceability standards are maintained to meet schedule requirements.
• Provide guidance and or on the job training to the Technicians and Aircraft Mechanics reporting to this position.
• When supervising the wok of others, ensuring that acceptable standard of workmanship and quality are maintained and the correct tools are employed to accomplish the task.
• Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualification

About You

• Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or Trade or vocation aircraft maintenance qualification or Degree (B.Eng., BSc) or equivalent in aircraft engineering + holds minimum 1 full QR main fleet ICAO/QCAA license and approvals.
• Internal: Minimum 3 year job related aircraft certifying experience as EN.00.
• As per company requirement, must arrange to have equipment, heavy vehicle driving license to facilitate
• Maintenance task requirements.
• Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
• Using mathematics to solve problems.
• Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
