Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with minimum 4 years of related experience.
• Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or Trade or vocational qualification or Degree in aircraft engineering.
• Holds a minimum of 1 full Qatar Airways main fleet ICAO/QCAA certification.
• Internal applicants require at least 1 year of aircraft certifying experience as EN.01.

Responsibilities

• Plan assigned activities in an effective and efficient manner, and operate equipment relative to tasks.
• Review work procedures and standards, and propose improvements where necessary.
• Release work to meet company/customer standards and target dispatch reliability.
• Ensure delivery standards of QR/customer products and schedule adherence.
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to technicians and aircraft mechanics.
• Supervise a team, set priorities, and manage workflow to meet objectives.
• Ensure compliance with technical and safety manuals and customer procedures.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B2) under Light Maintenance – Technical Engineering in Doha.

As Licensed Aircraft Engineer Level, you will be responsible to deliver aircraft maintenance activities to directly support flight operations maintenance checks and duties within your authority. You will provide specialized knowledge skills and expertise and ensuring safe, effective and efficient operation.

Specific responsibilities within the role includes:
Operational

• Plan assigned activities in an effective and efficient manner, operate equipment or use tooling relative to assigned tasks within framework of Qatar Airways and Customer procedures.
• Review of work procedures and standards, propose improvements were procedures are not appropriate to ensure work processes are effective.
• Responsible for the final release of work accomplished. Ensure tasks are performed to meet company/ customer standards and target such as dispatch reliability and level of acceptable deferred defects.
• Ensure delivery standard of QR/customer products are met. Aircraft maintenance tasks are accomplished in accordance with laid down policies and procedures.
• Provide satisfactory support to internal and external customers.
• Implement solutions to technical problems within his/her range of authority. Aircraft or components serviceability standards are maintained to meet schedule requirements.
• Supervise a team of mechanics or technical assistants, ascertaining task are efficiently performed and comply with procedures and meet task objectives.
• Provide guidance and or on the job training to the Technicians and Aircraft Mechanics reporting to this position.
• Establish the teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
• Regularly evaluate the teams’ objectives, plans , and procedures and revise when needed.
• Ensuring staff under his immediate controls adhere to published technical and safety requirements defined in publishing manuals,
• Customer procedures and other publications.
• Defining priorities to the staff allocated to him to ensure that efficient use of resources is channeled to perform the tasks allocated and meet schedules and planned check activities.
• When supervising the work of others, ensuring that acceptable standard of workmanship and quality are maintained and the correct tools are employed to accomplish the task.

Qualification

About you:

To be successful in the role, you must have the following qualification and skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job- related experience
• Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or Trade or vocational aircraft maintenance qualification or Degree (B.Eng., BSc) or equivalent in aircraft engineering.
• Holds a minimum 1 full Qatar Airways main fleet ICAO/QCAA, is must.
• For Internal applicant: minimum of 1 year job related aircraft certifying experience as EN.01
