Job summary

Want More in Lusail, Qatar is seeking a qualified Librarian to join our team. You will manage and organize the library collection, provide reference and research assistance, and maintain systems and resources.

This full-time role requires a Bachelor's in Library Science, at least two years' experience, and strong communication. English fluency is essential; Arabic knowledge is a plus. Accommodation and visa sponsorship are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
• Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a librarian or in a related field

Responsibilities

• Manage the library's collection by selecting, cataloging, and classifying materials
• Assist patrons with locating and using library resources
• Provide reference services and research assistance to students and faculty
• Maintain the library's systems and resources, including managing circulation, interlibrary loans, and online databases
• Develop and implement programs to promote literacy and encourage reading among students
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate information literacy skills into curriculum
• Train students on how to effectively use the library's resources
