The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas sector with major contractors or consultants. Your role will involve detailed engineering and design, including preparation of mechanical data sheets and specifications. Familiarity with design codes and standards is essential, alongside experience with QatarEnergy refinery projects.

• 15+ years in oil and gas with major contractor or consultants.
• Experience in attending progress review and design review meetings.
• QatarEnergy Refinery related project execution experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Discipline Team Leader / Manager and Project Manager, the candidate will assume sole responsibility for assigned mechanical engineering work as per project scope.

Skills & Experience

• Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 15+ yrs in oil and gas with major contractor or consultants.
• Perform conceptual, FEED and detailed engineering and design as per design basis, project specifications, clients specification and procedures, design codes and standards.
• Familiar with relevant design and analysis software’s.
• Experienced in performing / preparing the following tasks / deliverables, as per project scope :
• Mechanical Data Sheet
• Equipment Specifications
• Material Requisition for Inquiry and Purchase
• TBE (Technical Bid Evaluation) and Tabulation
• VDR (Vendor Document Review)
• For Static : Design Calculation as per applicable international standards like API, API, ASME Sec VIII div 1 and 2 Equipment GAD, Nozzle orientation drawing, detailed fabrication drawing (as applicable in scope).
• Working knowledge on SHELL DEP is preferred.
• Experience in attending progress review, design review, clarification meeting with Client.
• QatarEnergy Refinery related project execution experience is preferred.
