Job summary

Saipem is seeking an experienced Lifting Specialist to join the Operations Department. You will manage offshore lifting and rigging activities, develop lift plans, validate calculations, and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant execution of heavy lifts.

The role requires extensive experience in offshore construction, subsea handling, and complex lift operations, with travel within the Middle East.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline required.
• LEEA certification or approved equivalent is required.
• Minimum 8 years oil & gas industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years in lifting/rigging roles offshore.
• Experience with offshore lifting operations and critical lifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, approval, and execution of offshore lifting and rigging activities.
• Develop detailed lift plans for critical operations.
• Review lifting calculations including DAF and load distributions.
• Coordinate interfaces across engineering, marine, and construction teams.
• Prepare lifting dossiers and close-out documentation.
