Job summary

Mekdam Technical Services seeks a Lead Of Commissioning (PID) EPC-2 to manage field-based commissioning activities in Ras Laffan Industrial City. The role involves witnessing Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning execution, ensuring system completion and conducting certificate walkdowns.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in the oil and gas industry, with experience in mechanical, piping, HVAC, and associated testing, as well as knowledge of PSSR and commissioning procedures.

Qualifications

• Ten years or more in oil & gas environments.
• Experience with pre-commissioning and commissioning processes.
• Knowledge of PSSR procedures and system completion.
• Ability to develop checklists, completions databases and procedures.
• Experience with mechanical, piping, HVAC, fire water, foam and sprinkler systems.

Responsibilities

• Witness execution of Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities.
• Contribute to system completion process and certificate walkdowns.
• Develop and implement pre-commissioning/commissioning procedures and method statements.
• Perform line cleaning, reinstatement, leak testing, purging and drying.
• Cover HVAC, fire water, foam, sprinkler and NOVEC testing; assist I&C as needed.

Job Description Highlights:

The position is based in Ras Laffan Industrial City.

Predominantly field based to assist and witness the execution of assigned area Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities.

Good understanding & experience of System Completion Process and associated phases such as technical and contractual certificate walkdowns and PSSR procedure.

Experience in systemization including checklist development, check sheet allocation, completions database and development of pre-comm/comm procedures and method statements.

Both brownfield and greed field experience are an advantage.

Strong leadership skills, experience leading contractor teams.

Experience in developing Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning procedures, method statements and work packs etc.

Experience in mechanical and piping pre-commissioning and commissioning activities such as line cleaning, reinstatement, leak testing, purging, drying.

Must have experience with process and non-process systems.

Possesses knowledge on Mechanical equipment packages, piping and static and rotating equipment.

HVAC & loss prevention pre-commissioning & commissioning experience including HVAC performance testing, fire water system testing, foam system testing, sprinkler system testing, NOVEC testing etc.

I&C knowledge such as loop checks, cause & effect testing and functional testing, while not required are an advantage.

Must be able to; climb stairs, climb ladders, generally access tight spaces and work at heights.

Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
