Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in Doha to lead a key integrated master planning project covering stormwater, drainage, wastewater networks, and treatment facilities. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage data collection, and liaise with clients to ensure delivery within scope and budget.

You will oversee contract administration, risk management, and the preparation of technical reports, while ensuring adherence to Stantec's quality systems and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an internationally recognized university.
• Minimum of 18 years of work experience.
• Membership of an accredited Project Management institution.
• Professional Chartered Engineer status from an internationally recognized institution.
• Experience with wastewater infrastructure, recycled water, surface and groundwater systems, and planning.
• Experience in evaluating technical and financial proposals.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• The ability to manage a heavy workload, with close attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills.
• The ability to work autonomously, reviewing your work on a regular basis while consistently meeting your objectives.
• Strong teamwork capabilities. Committed to working with all levels of management on a daily and ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary input and master planning process for stormwater, drainage and integrated water systems.
• Provide day-to-day oversight of sewerage, surface water, groundwater, and treated effluent team leads; manage contract administration and client communications.
• Oversee data collection, analysis for strategy and high-level project identification.
• Review field investigations and prepare updates to technical specs and guidance documents.
• Write technical reports and coordinate with engineering experts on deliverables.
• Manage project activities using engineering planning principles and techniques.
• Track costs and prepare progress reports; support EAC/CTC/ERAC processes.
• Coordinate with teams working remotely to progress tasks and projects.
• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with Stantec policies and QA procedures.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans; support commercial project reviews.
