Job summary

Qatar Steel Company is seeking an experienced engineer to oversee the technical improvements and utilities processes in their Gas and Direct Reduction plants. This role requires managing operational budgets and collaborating with external partners to ensure efficient utility supply.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and a minimum of 6-7 years in integrated steel plant utilities operation. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-7 years of experience in integrated steel plant utilities processes, especially DR Plant Utilities.
• In-depth knowledge of utility gases supply, including Natural gas, Oxygen, and Nitrogen.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical improvements for Gas & DR plants utilities processes.
• Coordinate with external parties to minimize operational disruptions.
• Prepare and propose annual operation Opex budgets.
